Program Description:

Exploring Vacations is an inbound tour operator for the North America & France Market for travel in Ireland & UK; we are in business since 2007. We are based in Mullingar, Co. Westmeath, currently with a staff of 22 people. We specialise in Group Coach Touring (typically group numbering 30 persons); Private Escorted Touring and Self Drive Touring. We will carry over 20,000 passengers in 2014. We are in the process of opening up our products to the German market. We already operate in the France market, we have being running a successful internship programme with French interns for the past two years. We are seeking two German interns to join our team, they will join our existing two interns in the programme. We will consider any internship that will last four months or more.

The interns will: - Assist in translating our current website, off-line copy, sales copy, broadcasts, etc. from English into German - Research the Germany market, regarding their preferences whilst travelling in Ireland - Assist in developing products that will suit the Germany market When the above is achieved, the interns will -Sell our products via telephone and e-mail to Germany prospects -Make reservations on behalf of the prospects that they convert The internship will provide the following for the intern -Insights into data marketing -Experience of translation -Insights into the sales process of an inbound tour operator -Experience in selling -Insight into the reservation process of a travel agent -Experience in market research -Experience in developing, launching and promoting products

Setting Description:

We will provide the intern with accommodation and costs of the property such as electricity and heating. Both interns will share the property, both will have their own room. The intern will be expected to work from 10 am – 6 pm, Monday to Friday.
