Program Description:
Eurowings Training Program for Private Pilot License (PPL(A) is designed for foreign students interested in combining a visit to Greece and its rich cultural and natural treasures with the remarkable experience of learning to fly an aeroplane. It can form part of their GAP Year activities. The Program includes theoretical and flight training in accordance with European (EASA) regulations. Graduates of this Program can fly light aeroplanes for business or pleasure or continue their training to acquire a commercial pilot license and ratings.

Theoretical training involves self study and classroom instruction in nine (9)theory subjects. Using Eurowings e-Learning platform integrating rich training content in English, students initially study at their home countries at their own pace and after assessment of their performance they travel to Greece to attend 25 hours of classroom instruction in the form of workshop organised by Eurowings and sit theory examinations organised by Hellenic Civil Aviation Authority (HCAA) every calendar month.

Program participants can enjoy tours to ancient monuments and visits of Greek islands and other sightseeings within their training period to acquire valuable cultural and social experiences while being trained as pilots. Student long term visa, allowing travelling to other European countries and student shared accommodation throughout their training period are included in Eurowings services.
Setting Description:
Flight Training is realized at Messologhi Airfield, an uncontrolled aerodrome in Western Greece which allows intensified training but also short distance flights to other national and international airports in nearby islands and the mainland. Training aircraft include Eurowings owned four seater Cessna 172 with 180 HP engine and full avionics as well as other other trainers.
Cost:
Program cost is 10.000,00 Euros including taxes and includes Theoretical & Flight instruction (29 hrs with Flight Instructor (DUAL) and 16 hrs Supervised SOLO flights) and shared student accommodation for up to 3 calendar months.
