Program Description:
Ellis University's M.S. in Management offers an academic grounding in management theories and their application to business practices, and provides decision-making tools with a process orientation. The program is designed for working professionals who seek a degree that will enhance their current career paths while broadening and deepening their existing managerial strengths. The Non-Profit Management concentration focuses on three main elements: legal, fianancial, and human resources. The legal portion focuses on legal issues related to the initiation, maintenance, and growth of nonprofit organizations. The financial portion focuses on building and managing treasures and board-level committees, viewing financial data, capital formation, generating earned income, and creating processes for managing strategic endowment, gifts, and tax planning issues. The human resource management portion focuses on general human resource policies and procedures and on those aspects of human resources management unique to nonprofit organizations. Ellis' Master's Degree programs are created specifically for the online environment, providing the flexibility, instruction and interaction required to enliven your entire collegiate experience. Students are required to complete 36 credit hours.
