Program Overview

Program Description:

Interns have the opportunity to work behind the scenes, doing tasks such putting together travel itineraries and visa applications. Interns can also work in the tourist offices in some of Dublin's most popular cultural attractions and be in direct contact with tourists. Each placement depends on when you decide to go, your particular area of interest, your qualifications, what particular organization has openings for interns. All internships require an 8-week minimum, and can last up to 12 weeks. Interns will gain amazing and invaluable work experience in Dublin's vibrant, culturally rich and ethnically diverse city center. Dublin represents a modern city, filled with cafes, markets, malls, and, of course pubs. Dublin's bustling streets are filled with warm and personable people, and the city itself is home to a lively art and literary culture that can give NY City a run for its money! Placements are created on an individual basis, and are structured on the intern's objectives, qualifications, and what s/he would like to accomplish. Qualifications: * Must be a citizen of USA, Canada, EU, Australia, or New Zealand * Must be at least 18 years of age * Must be fluent in English * Must be a self-starter, well-organized, strong communicator, and able to work with a wide-range of people * Must commit 4-12 weeks

Intern abroad in Ireland. Tourism internships in Dublin, focus on both inbound and outbound travel and are available in a variety of settings including: * Advertising/Marketing * Information Centers * Operational * Office assistance

Participants have a single room, shared bath, kitchen, and living room. The residences include cable, internet access, and furnished kitchens. Please note, no food is included. The Student Residence is available early June through mid September, and sporadic availability throughout the academic year.
