Program Description:

Earn university credit and engage in fun, conversation-based Spanish language and culture classes at the Universidad de Cuenca through El Nomad's four-week summer program. Live in a modern, centrally located homestay in Cuenca and join the El Nomad community for weekly excursions and cultural and social activities. Courses are available for all levels of Spanish in grammar, composition, conversation, and Latin American culture. El Nomad takes pride in providing outstanding on-site support for all students and/or groups traveling with us. The features of our sustainable immersion programs are customizable and dedicated to enriching both the individual and the community.

Setting Description:

The program is based in the colonial city of Cuenca; named a UNESCO heritage site in 1999. No other city in Ecuador combines culture and history quite like Cuenca. Spend your down time strolling the cobblestone avenues gazing at the beautiful churches and squares, dining at restaurants, and interacting with locals in markets and shops. Our students stay either in apartments or homestays with a local family, depending on the program details.
