Program Description:

In September 2018, the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs, the largest programmatic accreditor of health science professions in the U.S., granted Edinboro University's Master of Arts in Counseling - Art Therapy, the national's first standard-compliant accreditation from the Accreditation Council for Art Therapy Education.

The Masters in Counseling - Art Therapy is a 60 credit graduate degree that is dedicated to achieving excellence in counseling, art therapy education, research, clinical and community service while fostering the highest ethical standards.  The program prepares students to attain their Licensed Practicing Counselor and their Registered Art Therapy credentials. This program can be completed 100% online or on campus at Edinboro University. Students will gain a solid working knowledge in counseling based art therapy practice with a focus on contemporary art therapy issues and international art therapy practice.

We offer three options:

MA Counseling with a concentration in Art Therapy

MA Counseling with a concentration in Clinical Mental Health and Art Therapy

Art Therapy post graduate certificate.

These options are offered online and/or on campus.
