Program Overview

Program Description:

This group course is an optional extension to the 20-lesson general English course. It consists of another 10 lessons per week. In this course you will engage with a teacher and other learners from other classes in communicative speaking activities. These include, for example: discussions; role plays; problem-solving activities; recounting of personal experiences, opinions and beliefs. The emphasis is on developing speaking and conversation fluency: the ability to speak without too much hesitation, and to communicate clearly and confidently. The course will also help you to develop speaking strategies to keep a conversation going and to develop your listening ability sothat you can more easily understand fast spoken English. The lessons are normally organised around a particular topic (or several topics).
