The traditional graduate program in History at Eastern Illinois University prepares students for teaching, research, and further graduate study. Traditional only in regions (American and European) and chronology (medieval to the present) covered, the graduate program in history centers on intensive course work, whether in seminars, independent study, or thesis preparation.
