Program Description:

The M.Sc. in Multimedia focuses on the authoring and design of digital media ('multimedia') texts, products or objects. The programme also addresses how new digital tools and networks are becoming increasingly pervasive in the production and distribution of all kinds of media genres and information formats, in the media, other sectors, and in everyday social and cultural life. Aims and Objectives: To provide students with an effective learning environment with respect to multimedia technologies and content applications. To develop the core technical skills in the application of multimedia technologies. To develop the core technical skills in the design, editorial, authoring skills and communication competencies required for the appropriate application/use of multimedia technologies in the production of content, products and services Programme Structure: The programme is delivered on a full-time basis over a single academic year. Students are required to take six core modules in Semester 1 and five modules in Semester 2. Students will undertake a project/dissertation in teams of four or five during the summer months.
