The Drexel LeBow MBA is accredited and highly regarded for its cross-disciplinary elective courses, practical insights and entrepreneurial thinking that form the basis of a rigorous and comprehensive learning experience that will help you advance your career and achieve success in life. International residencies and other integrated experiences provide practical meaning and context to academic lessons, and a Drexel LeBow advisor helps each student develop a personal career-advancement plan based on his or her experience, strengths and goals. This customized, co-curricular skills training also connects MBA students with a prominent guest speakers and visitors, as well as with LeBow’s far-reaching network of alumni and other business leaders. In addition, LeBow College recognizes that being an entrepreneur is a way of thinking, and the MBA curriculum encourages innovative thought leadership that helps students and alumni stand apart from the crowd. Ninety percent of the Drexel LeBow full-time faculty are tenure-track academics who conduct path-breaking research; 10 percent are clinical faculty who bring first-hand lessons from business. Most have consulted or worked full-time for Fortune 500 companies, government agencies and other organizations. Many have international experience. Students in most of the Drexel LeBow MBA programs begin by taking accelerated and intensive introductory courses in accounting, finance and economics. That is followed by a core that consists of nine required classes in fields such as marketing, management, statistics, organizational behavior and other subjects. Students then choose from elective courses offered by our Centers of Excellence in corporate governance, corporate reputation management, entrepreneurship and strategic leadership. Students also select classes offered by the concentration of their choice: finance, entrepreneurship and innovation management, marketing or business analytics. The new program, launching in September 2011, also includes a co-curricular skills-building component, in which students are offered customized sets of workshops, training and speaking engagements designed to aid their career advancement, and it introduces two a new area of concentration, business analytics, to the previous concentrations in finance, marketing, entrepreneurship, Healthcare, and Business Analytics. The new elective courses mark the first time that Drexel LeBow has directly integrated its Centers of Excellence into the curriculum. The Centers of Excellence will continue to facilitate faculty research and host programs that bring executives and academics together to explore business challenges. These new electives will give unprecedented access for students to take courses offered through Drexel LeBow’s Center for Corporate Governance, Center for Corporate Reputation Management, Baiada Center for Entrepreneurship, and Sovereign Institute for Strategic Leadership. The new Drexel LeBow MBA also includes a co-curricular skills-building component in which each student will be offered a customized set of training in skills ranging from budgeting and negotiating to evaluating staff and working with boards. One-Year Option: In a dedicated learning environment that is equipped with the latest technology, LeBow College's One-Year MBA students learn to think strategically from world-renowned faculty and top practitioners. And LeBow College offers more than just the traditional classroom experience. The College's Business of Ambition initiative provides MBA students with valuable co-curricular opportunities to exchange ideas with high-level executives; participate in business simulation competitions; and work with our career professionals in developing a personalized career plan. One-Year MBA students participate in an international residency during their spring term. This educational experience includes business visits, research, class work and cultural activities in order to gain invaluable global business experience. Prospective students are encouraged to apply early to take greatest advantage of scholarships available for this program. Two-Year Option: While Drexel LeBow offers MBA programs in multiple formats, the curriculum is exactly the same for most options. The Two-Year MBA option is the same curriculum as the One-Year option with the exception of the required international experience, and it allows students to pace their studies over 24 months to maximize internships and cooperative education. Tuition for the Two Year option is $980 per credit.
