Program Description:
The programme is aimed at experienced nurses in the public, private and voluntary sectors. It enhances and develops practice skills, knowledge and experience. Part of the programme is shared with students on the MA in Midwifery. Core modules: Research Designs in Health ,Theoretical Dimensions of Practice (Nursing),Enhancing Effectiveness and Efficiency in Practice, The Evidence for Practice. These are usually taken in Year 1 of the minimum length of study programme. Students who wish to achieve the MA must complete the triple-weighted dissertation module in addition to the final module below (offered in Year 2). Final core module: Psycho-Social Influences on Practice. Students wishing to be awarded a postgraduate diploma complete their studies at this point.
