Program Description:

This is a conversion programme for graduates with a first degree in a discipline other than Computing or IS. The programme gives students a thorough understanding of different aspects of current technology and its application to industrial and commercial environments. It provides a strategic view of IT and its current and future place in organisations. It also broadens the student’s general understanding of organisations and management, particularly in issues related to IT.

The programme comprises a taught component of eight modules and a project. The latter is a piece of independent work that draws on and demonstrates understanding of the material within the taught modules and contains a substantial practical element. If possible, the project is undertaken with an external organisation in industry, commerce or local government.
