- What is Child & Adolescent Psychology?
Child psychology is the scientific study of cognitive, social, moral and skill development of children from birth till their adulthood. This is a very popular area of applied psychology as knowledge about how children think,
feel and respond is very important in many professions.
This includes the study of developmental psychology, the study of both normal and abnormal development of children, and cognitive psychology, that studies the factors and processes involved in mental functions such as intelligence, memory, thinking, creativity and reasoning.

- Setting Description:
- ***Child Psychopathology*** Some children develop behaviors and thinking patterns that are very different from other children and some of them could be considered childhood mental and behavioral disorders. Common disorders include Phobias, ADHD, Autism, Dyslexia and other types of learning disorders. It is very important to identify and differentiate normal but different behaviors from abnormal and pathological conditions. This program will discuss the causes & symptoms of these conditions to provide a good knowledge in terms of how to identify what is abnormal and then the steps that should be taken to help the child. ***Psychotherapy for Children*** Most of the behavioral disorders could be successfully overcome with correct identification and therapy . This program includes modules that provide a good knowledge of basic psychological interventions such as counseling, behavior modification techniques and modern methods such as art therapy, play therapy, music therapy and forms of
