Program Overview

Program Description:
With six classic concentrations (Accounting, Finance, Global Business, Information Systems, Management and Marketing) and two recently developed concentrations in Sustainability and Social Change, the Clark MBA curriculum reflects an ever-changing global business landscape and our widely-respected faculty bring research expertise and worldly experience to the classroom. The Clark MBA allows students to work across various disciplines to accrue knowledge in all major business functions as well as essential "soft" skills such as strategic decision-making, leadership, negotiation and communication. Clark University also offers a part-time MBA degree program that includes the same resources and opportunities as the full-time program. Both programs consist of 11 core courses, 3 to 4 concentration courses, and 1 to 2 elective courses, as well as a capstone experience. The capstone experience consists of student consulting projects and other opportunities that allow students to put their academic skills into practice. Students may choose from several capstone courses including "Sustainability Consulting Projects," "Leadership and Decision Making," "Management Consulting Projects," "Entrepreneurship," and "Global Business Seminar." The program's flexible format consists of day, evening and accelerated classes (offered during winter and spring breaks). Classes are offered in Worcester and at the Graduate School of Management Metrowest Campus in Southborough, Massachusetts, which is conveniently located between Worcester and Boston. Whether researching alternative energy sources, improving labor practices in developing countries, or forming unique academic collaborations, our faculty and students continually develop new ways of thinking and acting that have a positive impact on the lives, and livelihoods, of people across the globe. The Graduate School of Management is accredited by AACSB International — a designation shared by fewer than 5% of business schools worldwide. Clark has been voted one of the top “green” business schools by Entrepreneur magazine, a best business school by The Princeton Review, and ranked 17th in the world in the Corporate Knights Global Green MBA Survey. Clark recognizes professional potential and encourages emerging professionals, with limited work experience, to strengthen their credentials and career prospects with a Clark MBA. Clark rewards strong applicants with generous merit-based scholarships, equal to 25% to 100% of tuition, and assistantships, where students work with faculty or professional staff on special projects while earning a stipend that helps fund their education. Clark is located in Worcester, Massachusetts. Just 45 minutes west of Boston and 3 hours north of New York City, Worcester is close to major business hubs, but offers an affordable cost of living for students.
