What better place to discover the vibrant Spanish culture and improve your language skills than in the beautiful Mediterranean city of Alicante? The combination of its quaint medieval district and modern, commercial neighborhoods gives Alicante a distinct character. In this medium-sized city, you’ll feel at home right away.
Spend four weeks exploring caves, visiting white-washed fishing villages, learning to make traditional Spanish meals, and experiencing many more memorable, first-time opportunities. Build a lasting relationship with your local host family, while deepening your understanding of Spanish family structure. Get to know your Spanish peers through activities such as hiking, beach volleyball, and karaoke.
CIEE resident staff experts will guide you throughout the program in all aspects of language learning and personal growth. At the end of the summer, you’ll leave Alicante with confidence in your ability to communicate with cultural proficiency in one of the world’s most widely spoken languages.
