Program Overview
- Program Description:
- Chinese Law Taught in English (CLTE) is our one semester abroad program for international visiting students. CLTE will expose international students to the historical background, transitional nature and developmental trajectory of Chinese law. Courses aim to provide students with concrete knowledge of Chinese law as well as with a comparative approach to legal studies.
The 2015 CLTE program will be composed of courses on: Introduction to Contemporary Chinese Law, Chinese Law and Society, Chinese Anti-Monoply Law, Chinese Business Law, Chinese Criminal Justice, Chinese Administrative Law and the Law of Nonprofit Organizations. As in the previous years, students will have the opportunity to visit a law firm, a prison, attended a civil or a criminal trial and a Chinese company.
Over the years China has become a global player, Students will be equipped with an overview of contemporary Chinese law and its social context. Our one semester program serves as a solid foundation for those who want to add a China-focus to their CV or who are simply interested in getting a more comprehensive picture of the global village.
