Program Overview

Program Description:
The goal of the program is to create a viable collaborative, inter-professional learning experience that will attract high-quality students and faculty necessary to prepare health care professionals entering the health care workforce and meet the needs of the surrounding and global communities. The founding program director, Michael Estrada, MS, DHSc, PA-C, has begun drafting the structure and curriculum of the program in preparation for provisional accreditation and is currently searching for highly qualified, motivated and innovative physician assistant educators and content experts.

Accreditation:
Chapman University has applied for accreditation provisional from the Accreditation Review Commission on the Education for the Physician Assistant (ARC-PA). Chapman University anticipates matriculating its first class in January 2015, pending accreditation provisional from ARC-PA. Accreditation Provisional is an accreditation status for a new PA program that has not yet enrolled students, but at the time of its comprehensive accreditation review, has demonstrated its preparedness to initiate a program in accordance with the accreditation standards. The program will not commence in the event that accreditation provisional is not received.
