Program Description:

Apply now for the CIFE Summer University Programme in Tbilisi, Georgia.

This summer university programme, organized by CIFE (Centre international de formation européenne) takes place in Tblisi, Georgia, from 19th to 25th of July 2018. A group of about 20 international students will be able to learn about the geopolitical importance of the wider Black Sea area, its prospects and challenges with its neighbours and the European Union in the political and economic arena. Georgia's prospects for integration into NATO will also be introduced. The students will be guided by international experts in this field.
The working language is English.

This year's proposed topics are the following: 

• Wider Black Sea region in the global context.
• The European Union and the geopolitics of the Black Sea.
• The challenges for Eastern partnership and European integration.
• Georgian identity. Regional identity and Georgian foreign policy. 
• The frozen conflicts in the Black Sea region / Security threats and risks in the Black Sea region
• Neighbourhood policy / Foreign policy in Georgia
• Georgia’s integration into NATO 
• The security policy

The CIFE Summer University Programme is known for its level of excellence, the high level of both academic speakers and practitioners and the active involvement of the participants in all discussions and debates. Setting Description:

Tbilisi, Georgia: Georgia’s capital is anything but orderly. Despite this—or because of it—it's one of the best, most strikingly original cities in the world.

Cost:

450 EUR. This amount (450 Euros) applies to participants who are able to justify their status of student. It covers: accommodation, courses, breakfasts, working lunches, visits/excursion. For those who are not students, please contact us for more information regarding the fees you would pay.
