- Great Experience06/19/19
I had a great time studying abroad with CEA in Rome. I have always wanted to study abroad and so I am truly grateful that I was able to make it a reality. I was able to meet some amazing people, eat a lot of amazing Italian food and enjoy traveling to
other countries every weekend. I enjoyed the small class sizes since it made getting to know people within the program really easy. I do wish there were Italian students as well to really give that immersed, study abroad feel. Overall, it was a great experience that I'll never forget.

They were very good about being organized and letting us known when events were happening and so forth. The program was not easy academically, but it was definitely worthwhile. - Great experience studying abroad!04/29/19
I loved studying abroad in Italy. I loved the living situation, I had a big apartment really close to the Vatican City. I had the best time making new friends and learning about a new culture. I loved the food in Italy, everything was so fresh and delicious.
It was an amazing experience that I will remember for my lifetime. The program I chose did a great job giving us resources to have the best time abroad.

My study abroad time in Rome was good. I can leave here being able to say I studied abroad in Rome! My classes were a bit harder than expected and attendance was strict, so I was not able to travel as much as I had hoped. Additionally, since the CEA program
is relatively small and since we were not studying at an actual international university, you are limited to making and meeting friends with people within the CEA program. There were 7 of us living in my apartment, which personally I believed was too many people for the amount of amenities that were in the apartment. For example, only one of everything (fridge, washer, sink, etc.) and only 2 toilets and 2 showers. However the apartment was located extremely close to the CEA center which was very convenient. The CEA Rome staff was great. Everyone was extremely helpful and answered to your emails or in-person requests in an extremely timely manner. They were all very kind and helped made the transition to life in Italy very smooth and easy. The activities and programs they designed and developed were great fun and a great way to experience the Italian culture. Overall my study abroad experience was exactly that, an experience. I do not regret coming, however there are some things that I would change and do differently if given the opportunity.

The semester I spent studying abroad in rome with CEA was one of the best experiences of my life. I met amazing people, learned so much about the Italian culture, ate some of the best food in the world, and discovered amore about myself in the process.
I have made unforgettable memories during this experience with friends I will have for life.

CEA Rome went beyond my expectations for what a study abroad organization can be. From a logistically standpoint, CEA time is a a stron program. They offer diverse courses, especially when doing a semester in conjunction with John Cabot University through
CEA, fun and informative excursions around Italy that are well balanced between free time and guided tours, courses designed to explore Rome as a city and Italy as a cultural monument, well located and spacious housing, fun extracurriculars in Rome, and so much more. However, while I chose CEA for such logistical reasons, my experience once arriving blew me away in nonlogistical terms. The staff of CEA Rome are such genuinely fantastic people that the day to day experiences, not to mention the larger excursions, became so much more enjoyable. Every staff member was accommodating, welcoming, easy to get along with, and interesting and fun to talk to. The atmosphere they created made me feel at home to the point where I would want to go to the study abroad center on days when I wouldn’t have class there simply to talk and interact with the staff. At the end of the semester it’s not just leaving an amazing new cultural experience in Europe, it’s leaving an incredible community of people. CEA Rome blew away my expectations, leaving me to only be able to highly recommend them to anyone looking to study abroad.

Studying abroad is the chance of a lifetime. You get to travel the world while also learning new cultures and creating memories and experiences with people you will never forget. CEA was super helpful with answering all my questions I had before going
abroad. They were there every step of the way, which made me feel more comfortable about going somewhere I had never gone before. They make the application process simple and help you figure out which program is best for you. I loved the staff at CEA Rome Center. They definitely made it feel like a home away from home. They were helpful, kind, understanding, and funny. Before I went on my weekend trips with friends, I would ask the staff if they had been where I was planning to go, because they usually knew cool local spots and places I wouldn't have thought to look for on my own. I took interesting classes like Business Ethics in a Global Context, Cross-Cultural Management, Italian, and Social history of the Italian Mafia. The classes were small and hands-on, and I enjoyed both the professors and the things we learned about. It was a very cool learning environment that I will never forget! I am so grateful that I studied abroad with CEA!

- CEA in Rome07/05/17
I really enjoyed studying abroad with CEA. I took Thermodynamics for my major requirement and Photography as a humanities course. My thermo course was taught very well, and photography really allowed me to explore a lot of Rome. The excursions with the
other courses that were going on (such as Art and Archeology) were open to people who weren't in the class, which again allowed people in the program to see parts of Rome that they might not have otherwise known about. CEA set up a lot of great experiences / excursions for our program, all expenses paid, such as a pizza & gelato crawl, pasta making class, an overnight trip to Campania, and a day trip to Florence. These events helped me make the most of my time in Rome, and allowed me to get to know the people in my program better.

CEA has been a great experience from meeting new people to learning tons of new things. I have met new friends with the students in the program along with the directors. Every professor here is so nice and helpful, I never want to go back to Providence.
This program has made my abroad experience unforgettable and I cannot wait to share the memories I have made with family and friends back home. Thank you CEA.

Rome has been an absolute dream. From the food to the people I have met in our program and in Italy I could not ask for much more! CEA I think is located in one of the best neighborhoods, Prati, because it is close to all of the attractions but not super
touristy. Also, the housing is so close to other students and our apartments are SO NICE. I am going to miss it so much!

Studying abroad with CEA has been all I hoped my study abroad experience would be. I have had such an amazing time exploring Rome and other Italian cities with CEA, whether it was through a pizza and gelato crawl, guided tours, class excursions or planned
day/weekend trips. The staff made my experience abroad run smoothly and provided assistance and comfort with anything that went wrong. Classes that were extremely interesting and the program as a whole was very well organized.

After spending 4 months in Rome through the CEA study abroad program, I can proudly say that I have found a second home in Rome, thanks to the help of CEA. They have been extremely helpful in every way possible, whether it was pre-planning for the semester
abroad, ensuring we felt at home upon arrival and providing us with experiences of a lifetime. The staff is beyond friendly and knowledgable, the classes interesting, the neighborhood FANTASTIC and very safe, and the planned excursions phenomenal. There truly wasn't one thing that went wrong and if there was, I knew I could count on the staff of CEA to help me fix it. Overall, I truly loved my experience here. Rome in itself is an amazing city and I was initially nervous that I would feel like a tourist throughout my entire stay but thanks to CEA, I was able to quickly adapt and can now comfortable call Rome my European home.

Honestly, as a classicist I couldn't think of studying abroad in any other city, and after traveling around Europe (because it is super easy out of Rome's two super accessible air ports), I am so incredibly happy I studied here. This program is nice and
small with approximately 70 students at a time, which allows you to get to really know your peers. You also meet the hundreds of other study abroad students out at bars or while exploring the city (which is literally endless I swear). Italy and Rome especially are so unique in the incredibly deep cultural roots and strange social rules that you have to learn and adapt to. It is an amazing and enriching experience. The CEA staff is awesome and I highly suggest this program.

My study abroad experience with CEA was absolutely fantastic. The housing was great, clean, big, and we were provided with a maid. Courses promoted out of class activities to help get cultural experience and allow time for more traveling and exploring
of Rome. I would recommend studying abroad to anyone and everyone.

- Study Abroad Fun12/01/16
I studied abroad in Rome, Italy through a CEA Study Abroad program. I took two courses through CEA in Prati and two courses at John Cabot University in Trastevere. The CEA staff was extremely helpful, especially before coming abroad (when I bombarded
them with tons of questions). The apartment CEA placed us in was in a beautiful neighborhood and great location. The apartment was very spacious - not what I was expecting. We could send tickets to Student Housing Rome, if there were any problems, and they responded relatively quickly. My classes were very small (2 & 4 students) and because of this, it made me more engaged in the course. I took Italian and my professor was very knowledgable and helpful. Classes got stressful at times and the attendance policy was very strict; however, I had a great deal of time to travel and explore. I'm forever grateful for my study abroad experience and hope that everyone who has the opportunity to study abroad will do it - you won't regret it one bit!

Studying abroad was a great experience, the best of my life. I made great friends and saw so much of the world. The program coordinator, Alexandra Massini is extremely smart, helpful and organized. She will do anything to make you feel welcome. Andrea
is helpful with housing especially in the beginning. The classes here were rigorous and interesting. Its great to learn about different pieces of art and history and be able to go out and see them first hand.

Studying abroad in Rome has been the best decision I could have made! There is so much to see and do that the almost 4 months here has flown by. My new found love of Rome could also be contributed to the CEA program who arranged our housing and academics
while we were here. The students at CEA all lived relatively close to each other in spacious apartments just a 10 minute walk from the Vatican. Our professors were extremely knowledgable and passionate about their subject. CEA also did not have classes on Fridays which made traveling to other countries much easier. Rome was also a great location for visiting other countries and cities in Italy. I am so grateful for this experience that has taught me so much about other myself and other people around the world!

The best time ever. I was able to eat the best food, drink the best wine, see the pope, see the sistine chapel, see the colosseum, make new friends, travel to other countries and be forced outside my comfort zone. I was challenged and I grew from it.
Abroad is a lifetime experience that I will carry with me forever.

Rome was unbelievable to study in. I did it through CEA's program and it was perfect. I Stayed in an apartment with a view of the Vatican on one of the safest streets in Rome. I loved walking around to the different sites in Rome whether it was in class
or on my own. The academic building was a great learning environment and I made so many new friends. One of my favorite parts was being so close to the airport so I could travel to other countries on the weekend as well. Highly recommend this program, especially if you love pasta and pizza!
