Program Overview

Program Description:

We designed our internship abroad program with personalization and career competencies in mind. Our placement process involves getting to know you and your goals well enough to find the right internship and host organization for you. In addition to finding you the right placement, our internship team also coaches you on how to compose a strong résumé and cover letter and how to give a great interview.

CEA offers a study + internship option in Granada during spring, summer, and fall sessions. Students in our study + internship model choose elective courses to supplement their internship placement, attending class at the University of Granada alongside Spanish and other international peers. We built our internship program on a solid academic foundation, thanks to the required Multicultural Workplace seminar course designed to help students process their internship.

Industries available for internship placements in Granada include architecture, communication, education, hospitality, nonprofit administration, psychology, social sciences, veterinary medicine, and more.

Setting Description:
Granada possesses a long legacy of multi-cultural, multi-ethnic, and interfaith community, giving students a richly diverse setting for their education abroad. Centuries of Moorish rule shine through the city’s distinctive architecture, tea rooms, and cuisine, blended with Christian, Jewish, Romani, and classically Spanish influences. Nestled at the foot of the Sierra Nevada Mountains in the south of Spain, Granada gives you easy access to the Mediterranean coast and nearby Morocco. Full of charming courtyards, beautiful gardens, and vibrant mosaics, it’s no wonder people often call Granada a fairy-tale city.
