Program Description:

The Master of Entertainment Industry Management (MEIM) program complements the creative and aesthetic skills you've honed as an undergraduate with a set of management skills to prepare you for a leadership career in the entertainment industry. The MEIM program offers a unique blend of Carnegie Mellon University's renowned rigorous, high quality academic training and on-site, in the trenches, hands-on training within the film and television industry in Los Angeles.

Students spend the first year of study in Pittsburgh, taking core management coursework to build the fundamental skills they'll need to succeed. During the second year, the students are in Los Angeles, expanding and enriching their management skills, theories and techniques through specialized coursework taught by some of the entertainment industry's leading professionals. In addition, MEIM students will work side-by-side with industry professionals throughout the year in full-time internships in the management offices of studios, production companies or related firms.
