- Working with Youth in East London- Best Community Engagement Match!12/07/18
I did the service learning internship with CAPA while studying abroad in London. CAPA did an amazing job with partnering me with an organization that parallel with my interests. I worked with underrepresented youth in East London with a new organization
called Spotlight. The team was amazing and very welcoming. I loved working with the young people who were welcoming as well and loved to hang around them. I learned a lot about youth engagement in East London, and the need for more youth centers in the area. Everyone was so passionate about helping and I got to present my time and findings within the organization to the supervisors of Spotlight. It was such a fun experience and I learned a lot about the community and my co's really made me feel a part of it.
