Program Description:

Florence is one of the most enchanting cities in the world. From Michelangelo to Feragamo, Florence is home to thousands of renowned masters and modern fashion icons. Our center is located in a palazzo, so you can feel and get a sense of the history surrounding you. Our programs offer many courses taught in English, as well as Italian language courses in a range of levels. The program includes excursions and other events that use Florence’s cultural diversity to draw upon what you see around you as you learn.

Our blend of academic and observational education gives you the best possible in-class and out-of-class learning experience. Our approach to personalized education allows you to take classes pertaining to your interests, giving you an individualized experience abroad.

The program is accessible and includes tuition; your choice of housing in shared apartments or homestays; a bus pass; a full day excursion to Siena and San Gimignano; a Florence Museum pass; access to a variety of fun and social cultural events and activities; entrance to the library British Institute; comprehensive insurance; and full pre-departure and on-site support from CAPA staff.

Setting Description:
CAPA Florence Global Cities Program is housed in the beautiful Palazzo Galli-Tassi in the Santa Croce neighborhood of Florence. You'll attend classes and soak up regional history and culture in the heart of the city’s traditional artisans’ quarter. The Center includes a library, a media room, wireless Internet access, and a computer lab; plus access to the fine arts studio at the nearby art school.
