Program Description:

The Master of Divinity degree (MDiv) seeks to prepare students for professional church ministries including those of pastor, associate pastor, youth pastor, women’s ministries, children’s ministries, etc. This degree is the standard for those preparing for a credentialed ministry position in many denominational settings, since it provides both depth and breadth in the biblical, theological and practical studies. The MDiv is normally a three–year program, but can be extended to four or more years. The MDiv program is not usually sufficient graduate study for undergraduate or graduate teaching careers, but can serve as preparation for a doctoral program.
