Program Overview
- Program Description:
CalSouthern's Master of Science in Psychology (MS) degree program is designed to provide the strongest and most comprehensive foundation in the study of psychology. It’s an ideal degree choice for mental health professionals looking to enhance their knowledge and broaden their skill sets; it’s also a stepping-stone to CalSouthern’s PsyD program, which satisfies the educational requirements for licensure as a clinical psychologist in California. Upon completion of a core, foundational curriculum, students in the MS program can focus their studies with a concentration in general psychology, sports psychology, chemical dependency and compulsive disorders, industrial psychology or pastoral counseling. Or, if they prefer, they can choose courses of interest from a variety of these sub-disciplines.
MS Highlights:
- Receive instruction from gifted educators who are also respected practitioners in their fields
- Gain exposure to today’s leading psychotherapeutic techniques
- Hone the personal qualities essential to effective therapeutic practice
- Concentrate on sports or industrial psychology, chemical dependency or pastoral counseling—or design your own program
