Program Overview

Program Description:

The Medical Reimbursement and Coding associate degree program at Bryant & Stratton College prepares students for entry-level positions in medical coding and other areas of the healthcare industry. As the medical field continues to grow, the need for skilled medical coders will grow as well. Medical coding professionals have the ability to work for private practices, hospitals, clinics, long-term-care facilities, insurance providers, and other businesses within the industry.

The first step toward this detail-oriented profession is this 60-credit associate degree program that is designed to meet the standards set by the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA) and the American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC). Upon graduation, students will be capable of earning certification through one of these two bodies.
