Program Description:

Graduates of the Human and Social Services associate degree program at Bryant & Stratton College will be prepared to begin a career in a number of different areas within the human and social services field. Students will develop the ability to address and treat the ever-changing needs of patients and clients. The associate degree program in Human and Social Services also places a strong emphasis on the ethical and legal procedures within the field to ensure that graduates have an understanding of vital industry regulations and procedures.

Additional points of emphasis of the Human and Social Services associate degree program include subjects such as the diversity of influences that affect clients and ensuring that the proper ethical responsibilities are followed in providing treatment. Students take courses that draw on expertise required in psychology careers along with common practices in the counseling field. Some of the positions students will be prepared to fill are crisis intervention, case management, and social and human services assistant.
