- Scandinavian Urban Design... The BEST!!10/15/18
This was my first summer doing a Broadreach program, and I can tell you it was one of the most amazing over seas experiences I have had. Not only did I get to meet a group of eight amazing individuals, but also learned a lot about Scandinavia and their
green programs. I feel like we had a strong group of people, and two even stronger leaders. My only complaints stem from the way group conflict was dealt with, and the amount of academic work. There were some conflicts in the group that could have been dealt with more quickly and seriously. I don't think this had anything to do with out leaders, but the students. It's hard to deal with seven teenagers you know practically nothing about. I was also hoping for a more in depth look to the way Stockholm, Malmö, Vaxjö, and Copenhagen use sustainable growth to become well adept, large cities in the current environment. Although i may have not learned as much about sustainable growth as I was hoping, I got a chance to become a stronger leader, learn how to navigate the subway systems of Stockholm and Copenhagen, and a trip full of life long memories and friends. If you are looking for a program that will grow you in both character and give you a base understanding of ways cities can become more sustainable and healthy for Earth's environment, this is the program for you.read moreBottom Line:Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
