When not in the water, take in the sights and sounds of Balinese culture as you visit the spiritual landmarks of Ubud, the cultural epicenter of Bali.
Travel halfway around the globe to an area few westerners have ever been. Dive and develop your leadership skills in remote locales like the Gili Islands, Lombok and Nusa Tengarra where you’ll experience an incredible variety of diving. Come face to face with exotic sea creatures you can't spot anywhere else, such as an nudibranchs, pygmy seahorses and sunfish as you shore, boat, wall, wreck, drift, pinnacle and reef dive. While you’re not earning PADI specialties, hike and explore the rich culture of Bali by participating in a traditional Kecak Fire Dance. - Phenomenal Diving and Cultural Experience from Broadreach!11/23/18
I went on Broadreach’s Bali Advanced Scuba trip this past summer and it was an unbelievable trip! I travelled with half of the group from New York and we started bonding during the long truck across the world. We met most of the other group and our
great trip leader Mara in Singapore and then all travelled together to Bali, where we met a couple other of people from our group and our other excellent trip leader TJ! I have been lucky enough to go diving all over the world, and the diving I experienced on this trip was definitively the best. The dive outfitters were amazing and they helped us ptactically every step of the trip, and the reefs were unbelievable! Outside of the world-class diving, the cultural immersion was a rather new experience for me since Balinese culture is so radically different from my own, but it really helped me foster a love for world exploration and travel. I especially enjoyed our time in Ubud, which is, what I would describe as, the three cultural center of Bali, as it is not as commercially developed as Denpasar. The Monkey Forest and the markets were definitely glows! Speaking of glows, we would always share our “glums and glows” of the day at dinner, at which we could try a wide range of local cuisine. After Bali and climbing a Volcano early in the morning, which was actually a very fun trip, we ventured to the Gili islands where we got to learn a lot about how we can help save our coral reefs and fight back against the stigma surrounding sharks. On the trip as well, I met a bunch of great people from all over the United States and locals in both Bali and the Gili Islands. I made a lot of great friends and we bonded over every activity. I would 100% recommend this to anyone who loves diving, world travel, and just having a fun time in a different part of the world.read moreBottom Line:Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
