Program Overview

Program Description:
The goal of the BYU MBA program is to train leaders who will make a difference. We do this by educating students in three significant ways—mind, heart, and spirit. The Marriott School has hired the brightest minds from around the world to teach in the MBA program. Forbes ranks the BYU business school #17 in the U.S., U.S. News ranks BYU as #1 among the 10 Least Expensive Private Business Schools and The Princeton Review consistently ranks BYU as the #1 most Family Friendly School. The mind is engaged as students gain a solid understanding of the best business practices through their core and elective classes. With class sections of approximately 45-50 students, all BYU MBA students can be engaged in each class. Students put that learning to practice in a full-time internship in the corporate world during the summer between their first and second year. The second year allows students to expand their training through experiential learning or to deepen their focus through one of the five majors: OB/HR, finance, marketing, supply chain, or entrepreneurship. The BYU MBA Class of 2013 placed 95% of their class as of July 2013 with an average base salary of $97,000. The heart of our program is the student body. When admitting students, we look at each applicant as a complete individual. We weigh your academic and professional achievements against your potential ability to work in teams and large groups and the overall contribution you would bring to the class you are hoping to join. Our carefully built community of students encourage each other in developing a solid ethical base as well as a sense that individual values are an important part of professional development. The BYU MBA program fosters a spirit of belief that our graduates can engage their career, their company, and their community in a way that will make a difference for good.
