- Program Description:
- The International Wine Ambassador Diploma focuses on in-depth commercial, technical & cultural aspects of the wine industry in theory & practice. Through strong leadership and support network our interactive learning formula educates students to have the knowledge and the confidence to be recognised on the international stage. There are 4 main modules to the programme. International Winemaking, International Wine Business, French Gastronomy & Sommellerie, International Wine Tourism & Culture.
The
Travel: Students are accompanied on national and international excursions to the most beautiful and prestigious wine regions of Europe. For a total of 3 weeks the students are out of the classroom attending and participating in events, guided tours, conferences, tastings and winemaking itself. Destinations include Rioja, Sapin, Burgundy in France, Germany, Italy and Austria along with Chateaux, museums and other villages in the region of Gironde. Internship: Students undertake an internship from 3 weeks up to as many as 10 weeks during their time at Wine Art. They take place in one of our Grand Cru Classé partner chateaux. Examples of previous internships include : Chateau Angelus, Chateau Smith Haut Lafitte. Cultural experience: For one week during each intake students are welcomed into a local family's home. These families maybe located in the centre of Bordeaux or nestled amongst the beautiful vineyards. It allows students to experience the authentic French way of living.
The Diploma is recognised by the Ministry of Agriculture in France. Students will also be recognised in the industry as Wine Art is aligned with several globally recognised businesses from Chateaux to Wine Traders.
- Setting Description:
- We welcome students to the South West region of France called Gironde. Spread across 7 locations within the region we benefit from the close proximity to the vineyards, chateaux and other celebrated landmarks not to mention the regions natural beauty. The majority of the international programmes are delivered at the doors of Médoc at Blanquefort, near Bordeaux. The other 2 locations Chateau La Tour Blanche (Bommes) and Chateau Grand Baril (Libourne-Montagne) are also used. Classrooms, special tasting rooms, technical equipment, demonstrative vineyards and other interactive facilities are at the students’ disposition and is what makes us a recognisable and valuable place to learn.
