Like no other country, Uganda represents the changing faces of recent African history. Behind the people’s optimism and the country’s beauties lie the horrors and ruins of a dark and gloomy past. However, Uganda is more than worth a visit – not just because of its awesome landscape and its incredible bio-diversity. It is simply moving to see how the people overcome the nightmares of the past and how they fight for a normal, settled life.
Orphanage and childcare program, Education and eaching Program and Building and Construction Programs focus on rural communities of Uganda and working with disadvantaged children, youth and women, through provision of quality education, healthcare, access to clean water and community development projects.
Volunteering with our program is one of the most rewarding experiences you will ever have. If you choose to do volunteer work at our orphanage, schools, youth center or just to be part of our outreaches, you need to be adaptable, flexible and prepared to face and hear heartbreaking stories of the people's backgrounds.

- Fantastic Time in Uganda07/12/19
It’s honestly hard to describe accurately in words my time at the hospital in Mukono – it was an incredible learning experience. From the moment I landed in Uganda, I felt very welcome and medical staff was so helpful. Dr. Samson was a fantastic
source of information and advice during my stay. I had a fantastic time at the volunteer home too, all the volunteers I met were nice and I have kept in touch with some. The best part of the program is that- this organization is locally run by some of the most experienced team and it’s really affordable. I have no word than thanking to all support of Beacon of Hope Uganda. If you are planning to do some volunteer work in Uganda. Please talk to Isaac, he will be very helpful. On top of organizing my volunteer placement, he also arranged a budget safari for me and the other girls at the home.read moreBottom Line:Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
