Program Description:

The Liberal Studies Summer Program at the Universitat Pompeu Fabra (UPF) has a unique focus that allows you to spend time among other students from around the globe, while earning a deeper understanding of all that makes Spain…Spain! Take courses in English and Spanish that count towards your major, minor, or general education requirements!

While many of our programs do not require any previous Spanish language knowledge, the Liberal Studies Summer Program at the UPF does require at least one semester of college level Spanish. 

This program is specifically designed for the international student that is looking to take their courses in English and/or Spanish. Language development and cultural immersion are top priorities of the program and encouraged every step of the way.

Established in 1990, the Universitat Pompeu Fabra (UPF) is one of Barcelona’s newest institutions has already earned an International Excellence Campus label from the Spanish Ministry of Education. The campus is full of remodeled historic buildings and sits in the heart of Barcelona just two blocks from the beach. Imagine unwinding between classes while listening to the waves of the Mediterranean Sea.
