Program Description:
The Italian language school Babilonia is located in Taormina, Sicily and offers Italian language courses for all levels as well as cultural activities for language students from all over the world. The study abroad center has developed several programs for independent students or faculty led customized programs, especially for U.S. University students who want to study in Italy.

Since 1992 the Centre for Italian Studies BABILONIA in Taormina, Sicily has passionately dedicated itself to promoting our Italian and Sicilian heritage and culture along with the study of the Italian language. Babilonia is not just a language school, but truly a Cultural Centre, open both to the local community and to international students who gain a wider cultural experience and have the chance to easily interact and integrate with the local community.

The range of Italian language opportunities provided by the center is wide indeed – there are academic options, such as study abroad programs and academic college credits, as well as courses like Italian plus cooking, Italian plus biking, Italian plus golf, club 50+ and more.
Setting Description:
The courses and programs are held at Casa Silva, an historic villa, built in 1817 just 200 meters away from the Greek Theatre: an architectural, natural and historical treasure that Taormina has miraculously managed to conserve.
