The city boasts world-class concert venues in the Wales Millennium Centre (home of the Welsh National Opera and organisations such as Diversions Dance Company) and St David’s Hall (home to the BBC National Orchestra of Wales, the BBC Singer of the World Competition and the Welsh Proms). National Museums and Galleries of Wales and several theatres also cover a wide range of tastes. The University’s School of Music also plays an important role in the city’s musical life. It presents a season of chamber concerts by visiting professional musician
