Since 1995, Philippe Gion welcomes food lovers, novice and seasoned cook alike, in his school of cuisine in Saint Remy-de- Provence, a famous village with vineyards, old stones, roman tiles, olive trees, tall plane trees shadowing the village place.​More than just recipes and techniques, this adventure brings you to the best of Provencal way of life - a life based around friends, the kitchen, wonderful food prepared from the freshest local ingredients, famous wines, liquors, warm nights and fun.
This four-day three-night or six-day five-night English language programs ​include lodging in a beautiful Provencal mansion, hands-on cooking classes led by Philippe, all fine wines and dinners, visit to a market of Provence, visit to Van Gogh retreat at Saint-Paul-de-Mausole and more...
Each day’s program offers something different:  4-courses menus covering about 20 recipes prepared together and shared around the home table, cheese and wines tasting from a selection of prestigious French wines. Participants are supplied with apron, chef hat and a booklet of Philippe's detailed recipes to take back home with them.​

Setting Description:

About Saint-Remy-de-Provence and the surroundings
Situated in the heart of the Alpilles, the Provencal small city of Saint Rémy is one of the "must-sees" in Provence. Surrounded by lush green perfumed valleys, its ancient streets are lined with beautifully restored old houses, fantastic old fountains, shady squares, picturesque restaurants and elegant boutiques. This is the right place to buy local art crafts, souvenirs and watch the world go by over a coffee or pastis from a pavement café.
The beauty of the countryside and the quality of light has inspired many artists, writers and painters. The most famous was Vincent Van Gogh who produced more than 150 art works while he was interned at Saint-Paul-de-Mausole Hospital. 
You can walk to the very same places painted by the artist and discover the mountain of St Rémy, fields of lavender (in June), wheat and coquelicots (wild flowers), olive and cypress trees - all just as it was more than a century ago. 

Le Mas des Tourterelles (Saint-Remy-de-Provence)
In this wonderful part of Provence , the “Mas des Tourterelles” is only 5 minutes walking distance to the historical center of Saint-Rémy-de-Provence and one of the most famous market of Provence. Our pretty 19h century farm house or "Mas" is nestled in a garden where you can cool off in the pool surrounded by sun-bleached decking or relax under the shady vine or drink a glass of Provence’s wine. Your cooking classes are held in a marvelous kitchen in the heart of the Mas. Enjoy all dinner under the stars on the romantic terrace. After dinner strolling through the narrow winding streets is a delight! Free WiFi is included.

Note: June, July & August are "busy months" in Provence. Please, book in advance!

- 4 Day-3 Night : A 600 Euros deposit saves you a space 
- 6 Day-5 Night : A 950 Euros deposit saves you a space
​- Cooking at your home: No deposit, full payment is due at the reservation

- Low season: April 01 to May 15 & September 15 to October 30, 2019
- Cost does not include airfare, car rental, insurance, visits or meals and beverages not listed in the programs
