Program Overview

Program Description:

Join this program for the arts in the world-class city of Buenos Aires. Each week has a different artistic focus: photography, printmaking, and theater. The first week focuses on photography with the city as your backdrop. The second week explores printmaking and learning about the development of this unique artform in the historic neighborhood of La Boca. The third week dives into theater where you will interact with professionals in the field such as playwrights, directors, actors, managers, and act in training sessions.

The program includes engaging workshops with local artists and professionals in their field. You do not have to have previous experience in these areas to participate! The first week of the program includes Spanish classes at an accredited Spanish language institute. These Spanish classes will help enhance your experience in your workshops and allow for a greater understanding of Buenos Aires and the unique cultures that make up this vibrant city.

The program includes excursions on the weekends to highlight the very best this region of Argentina has to offer. On the weekdays cultural activities are included such as cooking classes, museums visits, city tours, and a tango performance. All participants live with carefully selected homestays. You will have a program director with you for the duration of the program to support you on your Arcos Journey.
