Program Overview

Program Description:

New virtual study abroad program

  • Study abroad has a new look and feel for Arcadia Abroad students! Join Arcadia faculty in London, Dublin, Edinburgh,  Granada, Rome, and Sydney for a range of fascinating online courses and internships. You are able to select course options from across our international centers during the semester or summer, and add on an internship if you wish.
  • Virtual internship placements* are with employers in  London, Dublin, Edinburgh, Rome, and Sydney.

This innovative program will enable you to have a version of study abroad, joining an online community of students taught by Arcadia faculty overseas who are eager to bring you into the world of their course and of their location.

*Placements are on a first come, first served basis so early application is recommended.

  • Arcadia faculty from London, Dublin, Edinburgh,  Granada, Rome, and Sydney are very excited to conduct their classes online, while giving you a flavor of what local life is like in their countries.
  • Design your own program by mixing course(s) from any location with a six-week, virtual internship based in one of our locations - employers from a wide variety of sectors are available, meaning we can find a unique placement for you.
  • Project placements will match with your career goals to give you relevant experience for your resume. Placements cover a diverse selection of activities online, from social media assignments for businesses and web content creation, to pursuing research for business development projects and developing communication plans and content for non-profit organizations, and much more. A digital resume workshop is also included to help you highlight your experience post-graduation.
  • Courses will be brought to life online, with virtual excursions, discussion groups and activities. These may range from virtual tours of key museums or sites relevant to coursework, to other culturally significant locations, guest lectures by host country experts in the fields of study, vibrant discussions facilitated by Arcadia Abroad faculty and live event streaming.
  • Our exciting and varied events schedule will give students the chance to look beyond their classes to engage with the local culture and meet others in our virtual community. All our common events are free and will mix students from across the US with faculty and staff across Europe. You'll be surprised what we can do online! From quiz teams to cook-alongs and coffee mornings, we will mix fun with exploration.
