Program Description:

Spend a semester, or year, living, working, and studying in Rome- the Eternal City. This internship program is an academic journey during which you apply what you learn in the classroom to the workplace and vice-versa. It offers you the chance to live and breathe all things Italian while also strengthening your resume for graduate school and/or employers. The Arcadia Rome Center also offers excursions, lectures, and planned events to help you immerse yourself in the local culture.

You will spend 12-18 hours per week in your placement and will complete an academic project based on independent research and your workplace experience. You will also take an Internship Cornerstone Course at the Arcadia in Rome Center with an embedded Italian language aspect and up to four electives from Arcadia in Rome and/or Roma Tre University. Possible placements: St. Stephen’s School of Rome, Trajan’s Market Museum, an English language publication, Roma Tre University, and Joel Nafuma Refugee Center
