- Program Description:
The Intensive Arabic Program in Morocco offers two 4-week sessions, allowing participants to move through two Arabic levels in one summer, and focuses on Modern Standard Arabic at the beginning, intermediate and advanced levels. The curriculum is based on AMIDEAST’s Arabic Language and Culture Curriculum, which is functional and communicative in its approach. Arabic instructors are carefully selected native speakers with excellent language teaching experience and skills. From haggling in the easily accessible medina using darija (Moroccan Arabic) to navigating Rabat’s contemporary neighborhoods, conversational Arabic is reinforced with coursework.
In addition to academic coursework, our students benefit from an on-site orientation, a truly knowledgeable staff, and organized excursions to exciting locations in and around Rabat. Students in the program live with Arabic-speaking Moroccan families and attend classes at AMIDEAST’s facilities in the bustling Agdal area of the city.
