Program Overview
- Program Description:
Spend the summer in the charming city of Limerick, Ireland with AIFS! You’ll earn up to 3 credits at the University of Limerick. Courses are taught in English.
You’ll live in a single, en-suite room in an apartment-style residence. The apartments have a shared kitchen, lounge area, and internet access. Continental breakfasts are included and delivered to your residence, and 2 daily meal vouchers valid Monday through Friday are included for on-campus dining.
Cultural and social activities include:
- Walking tours and museum visits
- Traditional Irish music concerts
- Hurling events
- Visits to ancient historical sites like the Lough Gur, Foynes Flying Boat Museum and Bunratty Castle
- Day trip to Dublin
- Day trip to Lahinch and the Burren
- Day trip to Limerick City and Bunratty Castle
- 2-day trip to Aran Islands.
A 2-night tour of London is included for students on the AIFS Flight Package.

- Limerick, the third largest city in Ireland, is located in the picturesque west of Ireland, along the River Shannon. Experience the beauty of the Irish countryside while studying at the most innovative university in Ireland. - Cost:
- AIFS is a premier provider of study abroad programs. Program fees cover tuition and housing, and over 50% of our study abroad participants receive financial support from AIFS in the form of scholarships or grants. A meal plan, tours and excursions, insurance, and 24-hour emergency service are also included. Coordinated AIFS Flight Packages with major airlines are also available.

- Open to college sophomores, juniors and seniors. High school graduates and freshmen considered on a case-by-case basis. 2.5 minimum GPA. Must be 18 years or older to apply.
