Program Description:

Spend a summer abroad in the lovely city of Limerick taking a course on one of four available programs at the University of Limerick: Irish Studies, Business, Sports Science or Health Care. Live in single rooms in University townhouses on campus with Internet access and a meal plan included. Enjoy cultural and social activities such as walking tours, traditional Irish music, museum visits and sports events. Excursions include a day trip to Dublin, a day trip to the west of Ireland to see Lahinch and the Burren, a 2 day trip to the Aran Islands and more. Students on the optional AIFS Flight Package enjoy a 2 night sightseeing tour of London. 

Select one of the four program concentrations and choose one course from a wide variety of options. Subjects include art history, creative writing, film / cultural studies, law, literature / social history, health care, sociology, sports science, business and finance.

Limerick, the third largest city in Ireland, is located in the picturesque west of Ireland, along the River Shannon. Experience the beauty of the Irish countryside while studying at the most innovative university in Ireland. Cost:
AIFS is a premier provider of study abroad programs. Program fees cover tuition and housing, with $800,000 in scholarship and grant funding available each year. A meal plan, tours and excursions, insurance and 24-hour emergency service are also included. Coordinated AIFS Flight Packages with major airlines are also available.

Open to college sophomores, juniors and seniors. High school graduates and freshmen considered on a case-by-case basis. 2.5 minimum GPA.
