International Studio Workshop (Selected sites in Europe and elsewhere)

Program Description: In this program (one week on-campus; three weeks abroad) students earn elective credits at Onondaga Community College for supervised study and travel in Europe and elsewhere. Upon successful completion of the studio workshops at major centers of art, such as Barcelona, Siracusa, Rome, London, and Paris, students will be able to: 1) provide finished artworks in the course media; 2) identify key figures associated with the media and site; and 3) demonstrate mastery of design, technique, and aesthetics associated with the media and site.
Eligibility Requirements: High school diploma

International Study Tours in Art and Architecture (Selected sites in Europe and elsewhere)

Program Description: A three-week study tour (one week in on-campus orientation and two weeks abroad) of art and architecture at selected sites in Europe and elsewhere. Qualified Onondaga Community College faculty will conduct field studies at major centers of art, such as Paris, Florence/Northern Italy, Rome, Venice, London, Edinburgh/Glasgow, and Barcelona/the Spanish Pyrenees.

International Study Tours in Photography (Selected sites in Europe)

Program Description: Qualified Onondaga Community College faculty conduct field studies in photography at selected international sites for periods of 3 to 6 weeks. Students are encouraged to approach photography in a foreign country from two different points of view stressing their own aesthetic, expressive, and communicative goals.
Eligibility Requirements: Photography 100 or an equivalent course.

Catholic University of Lille

Program Description: A unique opportunity for students to live in France and take courses at a private, fully accredited university. Proficiency in French is mandatory. Students with limited proficiency may participate in a one-month immersion program prior to the commencement of classes. Fields of study include business, communications, computer science, economics, engineering, health, language study, math, natural and physical sciences, physical education, social sciences, and sports science. Internships and volunteer opportunities are available.
Eligibility Requirements: Sophomores and above; minimum of 3 semesters of college-level French; 4 or more semesters preferable
