Study in England at
Trinity and All Saints
University College
Trinity and All Saints University College
Trinity and All Saints opened in 1966 as two colleges on a
single site and has been offering degrees from the university
of Leeds since 1974. In 1980 the colleges formally merged into
a single institution and in 1991 it was designated a full
college of the University of Leeds. TAS is located on a large
and attractive campus in Brownberrie Lane, close to the Leeds
and Bradford airport and the Horsforth train station.
The Cities of Leeds and Bradford
TAS is six miles from the center of Leeds, on the edge of the
Yorkshire dales, and the Bradford City Center is just a few
miles away. Both cities offer a full range of cultural,
sporting and social events. Leeds is e home of Opera North and
has its own art gallery, museums and libraries. The National
Museum of Photography and film in Bradford is of particular
interest to students interested in media studies. Numerous
amateur dramatic and musical groups flourish in the area and
there are many opportunities for students to participate in
sports and other recreational activities.
Educational Programs and Facilities
While the main academic focus for the exchange program is with
the Professional School of Media and Communications, there are
additional courses offered in a variety of disciplines
including humanities, management, modern languages, social
sciences, technology and mathematics. There are approximately
2,000 full time students and 2,000 part time students which
means that the College is small enough for the faculty, staff
and students to enjoy a friendly community atmosphere. There
are nine residence halls on the campus with single-study
rooms. The Student Union offers numerous on-campus services,
including all aspects of students welfare, and supports
twenty-four clubs and societies which cater to students'
interests from sports to performing arts. The Recreational and
Cultural Committee organizes leisure courses and live
performances within the College in the evening and at
lunchtime. Programs include recitals, jazz, mime and
professional theater.
Exchange Program Periods - Fall or Spring Semesters or
Academic Year
Generally, the fall term begins in mid September. An
orientation program at TAS precedes each semester. The second

Credits
Students are expected to enroll in the equivalent of 12-15
hours of course work per semester or 24-30 for the academic
