Study in Australia at
The University of New
South Wales
The University of New South Wales
The University of New South Wales is a dynamic institution
recognized for its achievements in research and teaching. The
main campus is situated near the coast on 85 acres of a
sloping site at Kensington, an inner south-eastern suburb of
Sydney. It is modern, urban campus with extensive sporting
and recreational facilities.
The Campus and Sydney
Sydney is the most cosmopolitan city in Australia and the
capital of the State of New South Wales. Situated on a
sparkling harbor with fabulous beaches and a sunny
Mediterranean climate, it is one the world's most
beautiful cities. Sydney is an exciting city that offers more
entertainment, shopping and sight-seeing than any other place
in Australia. The University campus is 20 minutes from the
city center and within walking distance of Coogee Beach.
Educational Program and Facilities
UNSW offers a wide range of undergraduate subjects in the
areas of liberal arts and sciences, as well as extensive
science, technology and engineering based courses. Study
abroad students take regular classes with the Australian
students in fields including Aboriginal/Australian Studies,
Architecture, Finance, Political Science, Theatre and Film
Studies, Economics, Psychology, Marketing, Fine Arts,
Education, and Marine Science to mention just a few.
Pre-approval of courses before arrival provides students with
a reliable way to insure that they will meet home campus
requirements. There are over a hundred clubs and societies on
campus, covering interests in the sporting, cultural, social,
religious, hobby and intellectual fields. Plays, concerts,
films, recitals and other cultural gatherings are frequent. An
orientation takes place at UNSW at the beginning of each
semester.

Estimated and subject to change due to fluctuations in
the exchange rate. The $7,095 program fee includes:

pre-departure materials and advising); International Student
Identity Card (ISIC); SUNY transcript. The cost does not
include: cost of airfare to and from Australia; spending

paid in Australia directly to the university. Please call
or write for a current fee schedule. Out of state tuition
is $4,150 per semester.
