The Italian Internship Program
Overview
Centro Linguistico Italiano Dante Alighieri, founded in 1966, is Italy's first
private language school specializing in the instruction of Italian language and
cultural programs to foreigners, for both students and professionals alike. The
school uses its own teaching methods, texts and general didactical materials that
have been developed in conjunction with the school's professors and staff. The
text and teaching methods developed by the Centro Linguistico Italiano Dante
Alighieri, (CLIDA), are used in all of their centers in Italy and Greece.
The school is headquartered in Florence, Italy - in the heart of Tuscany - where
students are immediately surrounded by Italian language and culture. CLIDA's goal
is to help students:
- make a smooth transition from one culture to another,
- return to their homeland with an international perspective,
- develop a better understanding of the world around them,
- develop a broader network of friends, and
- develop the capacity to speak Italian.
Living in Florence
Florence is known all over the world as "the city of art and the capital of the
Renaissance." However, it's not only the city's many museums where you'll find its
treasures. It is a living art museum - around every corner there is another beautiful
ancient building or church. Despite its historical charm, Florence is also a modern
and lively city. Florence is also the city where the purest form of Italian is
spoken. For all of these reasons, students find living and studying in this city a
unique and exciting experience.
