CRIMINAL JUSTICE DEPARTMENT
CRJ 218 - International Criminal Justice Systems in London
3 credits
January 2 - January 10, 2008
Trip Overview
The criminal justice system of United States was developed utilizing the models established in Western Europe, principally the common law of England. In today's increasingly global world, a comprehensive understanding of alternative justice systems is critical to ensure that international criminal conduct is understood and effectively investigated, prosecuted and sanctioned. This course is intended to facilitate this understanding as well as provide an opportunity to explore and enjoy one of the worlds most culturally rich cities, London. While your days are planned to provide maximum exposure to the course curriculum, there will also be many opportunities to experience the best that London has to offer.
