University of Cyprus Courses are taught in Greek with the exception of a number of courses in the Department of Foreign Languages and Literatures which are taught in English. Students register for 5 to 6 courses per semester and attend 15 to 20 hours of lectures or labs per week. Students are expected to spend at least another 20 hours per week for library reading, labs, homework, etc.
Overview All final examinations are written, but students may be evaluated throughout the semester with mid-term exams, exercises, homework, papers, etc. Students are informed of the course evaluation method during the first week of classes.
Value The programmes of study at the University of Cyprus are based on credit hours.
