Worcester Polytechnic Institute Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI) is responsible for overseeing two of the most successful educational innovations to emerge at any college or university in the past half century, a project based curriculum - three required projects (one in the Humanities, an interdsiciplinary one, and one in the major); and the Global Perspective Program.

Overview By completing a project off-campus, students have the opportunity to immerse themselves in another culture while completing a degree requirement. Students return to campus with greater awareness of the world, the value of their education and deeper knowledge of themselves.

Purpose Needs to be edited (Edit fields above)

Setting WPI sends more engineering, science and technology students abroad than any other university in the country. WPI students can complete projects at our Global Project Centers in London, Venice, Bangkok, Hong Kong, Denmark, Namibia, Costa Rica, Puerto Rico, Australia, and elsewhere.

Value At WPI students are offered the opportunity to understand and appreciate other cultures and to see firsthand how their lives and work will play out on a global stage.
