Conservation through Research Education and Action CREA offers a range of undergraduate and pre-university level academic field courses in Neotropical Biology, all with an emphasis on the conservation of biodiversity. Students will live at our field station and actively participate in field research programs while learning biological principles with academic staff.
Overview Courses are facilitated by university professors each having local research programs (e.g. monitoring endangered frog populations). In all courses students will participate in ongoing research as well as design and execute their own research project.
Setting CREA s rustic field station includes sleeping, eating and classrooms. CREA privately owns the surrounding 1000 acres of forest which borders the very large forest tract of Kuna Yala, the autonomous territory of the Kuna people who jealously guard their valued forest home.
