Overview AIFS in St. Petersburg offers something for everyone. Learn Russian for the first time or perfect your language skills at an advanced level. All students are required to take Russian Language at the appropriate level, with a maximum of 10 students per language class. Additionally, students must be registered for courses on Russian history, art, literature and sociology taught in English.
Setting Students have the choice of living in University residence halls or with a Russian family. A public transportation pass is included in the program fee for easy accessibility across St. Petersburg, including the Russian Language Center situated one mile from the main University campus.

State University of New York (SUNY) The State University of New York (SUNY) currently offers more than 400 overseas study programs in more than 50 countries: in North and South America, Africa, Asia, Western and Eastern Europe, Australia and New Zealand. Programs range from 2-3 week intensive courses to a semester or academic year abroad. Courses are available in more than 100 subjects, ranging alphabetically from aboriginal studies and aerospace engineering to western philosophy and women's studies. While many programs focus on language learning and are conducted in the language of the host country, many others are conducted wholly or partly in English.
Overview The State University of New York overseas study programs are, with some exceptions, open to all SUNY and non-SUNY students, with eligibility ranging from first year to graduate level. For many undergraduates, the best time to study abroad has traditionally been during the junior year; however, well-prepared sophomores, and occasionally freshmen, are eligible for some programs. For everyone, careful preparation and consultation with the campus Director of International Education are essential for determining where and when to go. Program costs are usually only slightly higher than on-campus costs of tuition, room and board (exclusive of international air fare) and in some countries expenses are actually less than they would be on campus. Study abroad students pay SUNY tuition (in-state or out-of-state, depending upon New York State residency) plus costs, which vary from program to program. Matriculated students at a State University of New York campus register on their home campus for programs offered at any other campus. They are thus able to maintain residency and eligibility for financial aid. (NOTE: Upper-division students registering at community colleges for overseas programs should consult with their registrar's office about appropriate credit.)

State University of New York College at Brockport(SUNY) This five-week Russian language immersion program offers instruction in intensive conversational Russian. Tallinn Pedagogical University The Russian Language Summer School is an annual event sponsored by the International Office and the Slavic Department of Tallinn Pedagogical University. The program of the School consists of three parts - language and cultural programs in Estonia and a study tour to St. Petersburg in Russia.
Overview The Courses are intended both for beginners and advanced students. The participants are divided into small groups depending on the level of knowledge, and every group has a tutor to get in touch with if any problems occurs.
Setting The goal of the curriculum is to help the student acquire a working knowledge of Russian language to communicate on topics covered by the situations, express his/her thoughts in Russian on the basis of the grammar and vocabulary studied, understand orally, read and reiterate texts, conveying in Russian his/her attitude towards what has been read or heard, read more difficult texts with a dictionary and translate them.
